Performance
Distillery production relies heavily on grain raw materials such as sorghum, wheat, grapes, rice, glutinous rice, corn, and barley. These raw materials are mostly in loose or granular form, making them ideal for grabbing with clamshell grabs. This significantly improves the automation level and operational efficiency of the distillery in the loading, unloading, transfer, and stacking of raw materials.

APPLICATION
Raw Material Unloading
Scenario: After trucks or trains transporting grain arrive at the distillery, the grain needs to be unloaded into designated storage pits or yards.
Application: By mounting clamshell grabs on gantry cranes or crawler cranes, grain can be quickly and efficiently retrieved from truck beds, replacing traditional manual shoveling or dump truck methods. This method is extremely fast and saves significant manpower and time.
Raw Material Stacking and Retrieving
Scenario: Distilleries require large raw material inventories, thus having large raw material warehouses or open storage yards.
Application: Clamshell grabs can easily perform stacking operations, piling grain into neat stacks. Simultaneously, when production requires it, it can precisely retrieve material from the stack and deliver it to the next production stage (such as soaking or cooking). Its opening, closing, and rotating functions make it highly flexible for operation in confined warehouse spaces.
Raw Material Transfer and Loading
Scenario: Grain needs to be transferred from point A (e.g., a storage yard) to point B (e.g., above the feeding inlet of a soaking tank or cooking pot).
Applications: By equipping overhead cranes (bridge cranes) or mobile cranes with clamshell grabs, materials can be transported continuously and efficiently within or between workshops. This is crucial for achieving automated production lines.
Gravel Handling and Processing
Scenario: In the process of baijiu brewing, the distilled lees need to be removed from the still, spread out to cool, have yeast added, and then fermented in the fermentation pit.
Applications: In highly mechanized and automated distilleries, specialized machinery (such as grab cranes) is used to grab hot lees. Clamshell grabs can evenly grab the lees and transport them to the cooling machine or directly into the fermentation pit, avoiding heavy manual labor and the risk of burns from high temperatures.
