Performance 

Heavy-duty pulleys for cranes are key load-bearing components designed for heavy-duty, high-frequency operating conditions. They are mainly used in heavy-duty lifting equipment in the fields of metallurgy, ports, and mines. Its core features include: high-strength alloy steel or special cast iron, tempered heat treatment and precision machining; thickened rim and deep groove structure design; heavy-duty rolling bearings or copper-based self-lubricating bushings. The design must meet the strength requirements of GB/T 3811 "Crane Design Specifications" and JB/T 9005 "Casting Pulleys for Cranes" to ensure reliability under impact loads and continuous operating conditions.

In metallurgical cranes (such as casting cranes, slab clamp cranes) and large port gantry cranes, heavy-duty pulleys show significant performance advantages: their optimized rope groove profile can reduce the wear rate of wire ropes by more than 30%; special heat treatment process makes the pulley life reach 2-3 times that of ordinary pulleys; some models adopt a split structure design, which is convenient for maintenance and replacement in high dust and high temperature environments. For different working conditions, special specifications such as dustproof type with sealing device or high temperature resistant type (up to 200℃ environment) can be selected.

Daily maintenance needs to focus on: check the wear of rope groove every month (no more than 15% of the original thickness); use high-temperature lithium-based grease to regularly maintain bearings; use magnetic particle flaw detection technology to regularly detect wheel cracks. The latest technological developments include: applying nano-composite coatings to improve wear resistance; integrating wireless monitoring modules to collect vibration and temperature data in real time; using finite element analysis to optimize the structure and reduce deadweight. In addition to considering the rated load when selecting, it is also necessary to check parameters such as wire rope deflection angle (usually ≤5°) to ensure system matching.

Heavy-duty pulleys for cranes (also called heavy-duty pulleys or high-duty pulleys) are pulley assemblies designed for heavy loads, high frequencies, and harsh working conditions. They are usually used in lifting equipment in the fields of metallurgy, ports, mines, and large-scale engineering machinery. Its performance characteristics are mainly reflected in high strength, high wear resistance, and high reliability to meet the requirements of heavy-duty working systems (such as M6M8).
